About Kae

2000年アメリカ留学中にベリーダンスに出会い帰国後独学で学び始める。
2005年Rachel Briceと出会い彼女のスタイルのルーツとなったATS（アメリカン・トライバル・スタイル）に関心を持つ。
2007年独学に限界を感じたことから渡米。FCBDでATSの創始者Carolena Nericcioに師事し、本格的にATSを学びはじめる。
2009年６月師匠Carolena Nericcioの熱いラブコールを受け、日本人初（インターナショナル生初）の快挙、FCBDオフィシャルプリンシパルダンサーとなり、北カリフォルニアを中心に活動を始める。
現在、FCBDプロダンサー＆インストラクターとして活動を続ける傍ら、フュージョン、オリエンタルなどのスタイルを問わず、サンフランシスコ・ベイエリアの有名ベリーダンサーたちから指導を受け、自らのスタイルを探求している。

Kae’s passion for belly dance started when she saw it for the first time in 2000. In her part of Japan there are very few belly dance instructors but by researching tribal belly dance and with the aid of DVDs she was able to teach herself the fundamentals. In Japan she successfully organized and performed in many outstanding events. Now she lives in San Francisco learning from the originator of American Tribal Style belly dance, Carolena Nericcio, at FatChanceBellyDance (FCBD). In June 2009 Kae was invited to join FCBD as a principle dancer. Since joining the troupe Kae has performed at major events such as Tribal Fest, Mecca, Devotion, in Seattle and all over California.

In addition to being a member of FatChanceBellyDance Kae is continuing to learn from many great bellydancers in the bay area and is crafting her own unique style.
